Race weekends often begin long before the first practice session. Early starts, long motorway journeys and countless hours at tracks across the UK become part of everyday life.
Once at the circuit, there's always something to do.
The kart needs preparing, tyres need changing, weather conditions need monitoring and plans need adapting throughout the day. Between sessions, every minute counts as changes are made and the next run is planned.
When the racing begins, emotions run high.
There are moments of celebration when everything comes together, but there are also setbacks. Motorsport can be unpredictable. Mechanical issues, racing incidents and changing weather can turn a promising weekend into a frustrating one in an instant.
Those difficult weekends often teach the biggest lessons.
Behind every young driver is a team of people giving up their time to make the journey possible. Parents, grandparents, mechanics, coaches, sponsors and volunteers all play their part.
